We are very pleased to showcase this casual plain collar shirt, featured in light chambray blue, as part of our exquisite collection of formalwear.
The shirt features a semi-formal shape cut in casual cloth, with a soft construction for contemporary classic styling. While the signature Merchant Fox collar is semi spread, with a deep point, and removable collar stays, to combine with any style of tie or knot. Providing a generous soft roll when worn open-necked.
Constructed with floating interlining, to maximise comfort and produce a natural and luxurious look. As well as utilising a back yoke, with side pleats with English fit, for easy comfort and a soft press finish. Finished with white Australian Mother of Pearl buttons, through a French front fastening, to provide a clean and casual appearance.
Woven in Japan, exclusively for The Merchant Fox on original narrow width and low speed shuttle looms, for the most authentic appearance and handle.
The yarn is hand dyed with natural indigo, and should be carefully and separately washed in cool water. Overtime, natural colour loss will occur, which will create a beautiful patina unique to each garment.
Please be aware that due to the nature of the fabric, natural slubs and inconsistencies may appear, which are valued characteristics of this special fabric.
