The Romney Marsh Charcoal Utility Jacket

Beautifully crafted using wool provided by Romney sheep. A type of fleece chosen for its heavy, semi-lustrous and strong attributes, which provide a high yield.

The wool is top dyed to achieve the rich charcoal melange, whilst the yarn is worsted spun to become smooth and hard-wearing. After weaving, the cloth is thoroughly checked for any imperfections, with any knots being moved to the back of the cloth. 

During the finishing process, the fabric is scoured, cropped and pressed. This technique combined with the worsted spun yarn, gives the cloth a smooth hand feel.

Therefore, this cloth is ideal to craft into a versatile jacket, to be adored through many seasons. Made in Bristol, by a skilled team of designers within an independent tailoring studio. Experts in creating bespoke garments with flair and innovation.

The jacket comprises of a 6-button front closure, patch pockets, unlined inner, contrasting black buttons and a single buttoned cuff.

Please Note: These provided measurements are garment sizes. To be used for guidance purposes only. Tolerances in sizing are provided due to the natural flexibility of the cloth, which creates a slight variation to each piece.

We now collect the VAT based on the country from which you place your order.

UK Shipping - £8.50 + VAT on all orders within mainland UK except furniture. 

Services to Russia

Due to the ongoing situation surrounding Russia, we shall not be offering shipment of any of our products to the country.

Whilist we are closely monitoring the events and circumstances, this shipping suspension will remain in place for the foreseeable future. However, should there be any further changes to this development, we will keep you informed.

Import regulations and duties

If you order goods from our site for delivery outside the UK & EU they may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied when the delivery reaches the specified destination. You will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. Please note that we have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. Please contact your local customs office for further information before placing your order.

In the unlikely event that you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 14 days of receipt and we would be happy to assist you with your return.

If you would like us to arrange your return shipment please get in contact. The cost of the return will be deducted from your refund or invoiced separately.

Custom & Personalised orders

We cannot accept returns on any made-to-order or customised pieces. However, we are of course more than happy to accept returns on pre-order items and in stock products.
