Upon adding your jacket to the cart and placing your order, please email: enquiries@themerchantfox.co.uk to confirm which size you would like the jacket to be produced, along with quoting your order reference number within the email.

Delivery Time

Further information regarding the production of the piece, including an accurate delivery estimate, will be provided to you following any subsequent order. Item expected to be dispatched, approximately 4-6 weeks after an order has been placed.  

FK001-Fox Khaki Jacket

The FK001-Fox Khaki Jacket, was inspired by classic militaria style, whereby practicality and functionality is paramount throughout the design process.

Therefore, whilst we have kept the traditional details of cargo pockets, 4 button fastening, vintage collar and cuffs, we have revitalized the piece into a modern day essential, through the use of fine modifications and adjustments to the vintage look. As well as featuring a special edition woven label, to commemorate 250 years of Fox Brothers.

Presented in a rich shade of dark olive, taken from the Fox Khaki cloth collection. The olive drab colouration, creates the perfect base tone and composition as part of a seasonal wardrobe.

Unlined with an airy subtle twill, for a relaxed and oversized fit during the summer months. The jacket can also be worn as a top layer throughout colder occasions, which will create a more regular fit.

Due to the relaxed nature of this jacket, we would recommend down sizing from your usual size preference, if this garment is intended to be worn during the spring/summer season with minimal layers.

However, if layering up for the autumn/winter months, we would advise that this jacket would fit more true to size.

The olive drab colour variation, was adopted as the main base shade for standard military uniforms during the early 1900's. Since then, olive has remained the preferred colour choice for traditional militaria outfits, with various lighter and darker olive tones being seen throughout the ages.

The iconic and more traditional ‘olive drab’ variation, refers to the dull light brown tone, which was the variation of cloth colour made from undyed homespun wool. As well as taken its name from the old French word for cloth ‘drap’.

Sophisticated military-influenced menswear, later became popular pieces amongst fashion-forward wardrobes, due to their versatile, practical and stylish appearance.

Pit to Pit = Taken from side seam across back to side seam

Waist = Total waist around whole of garment when buttoned up

Shoulder to Shoulder = Taken from outer shoulder seam on back, across the back to the other shoulder seam

Centre Back Length = From base of colour to finished hem

Cross Back = This is the narrowest point across back from sleeve seam to sleeve seam

Please Note: The measurements provided within this size guide, have been taken from the actual product size increments. Therefore, these are NOT recommended body size measures.

UK - Apparel & Home orders over £200.00.

EU* (Excluding Russia) & The Rest of World - Apparel only orders over £350.00.

Home & Interiors - Orders over £600.00

This will automatically be activated at checkout.

*However, please be advised that in order to qualify for "FREE shipping", that the rate is calculated by the net price of the total cart value, excluding any applicable VAT or taxes within the country of destination.

We now collect the VAT based on the country from which you place your order.

With this new system in place, you can order with confidence and rest assured that there will be no surprise charges upon delivery. Everything is being taken care of during the check out process on The Merchant Fox's website

UK Shipping - £8.50 + VAT on all orders within mainland UK except furniture. 

Services to Russia

Due to the ongoing situation surrounding Russia, we shall not be offering shipment of any of our products to the country.

Whilist we are closely monitoring the events and circumstances, this shipping suspension will remain in place for the foreseeable future. However, should there be any further changes to this development, we will keep you informed.

We would like to take this opportunity, to offer our deepest sympathy, to all those affected by the current conflict within Ukraine. Both Fox Brothers and The Merchant Fox, stand in solidarity with Ukraine during this tragic time.

Import regulations and duties

If you order goods from our site for delivery outside the UK & EU they may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied when the delivery reaches the specified destination. You will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. Please note that we have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. Please contact your local customs office for further information before placing your order.

In the unlikely event that you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 14 days of receipt and we would be happy to assist you with your return.

If you would like us to arrange your return shipment please get in contact. The cost of the return will be deducted from your refund or invoiced separately.

Custom & Personalised orders

We cannot accept returns on any made-to-order or customised pieces. However, we are of course more than happy to accept returns on pre-order items and in stock products.
